Evolution began as a defense contractor, building rugged and reliable trailers for the U.S. Armed Forces and allies. With nearly 1,000 trailers in service with military operators worldwide, Evolution has expanded its focus and today offers custom trailers for recreational boaters, too.
Evolution’s construction methods have been proven to result in a more reliable, more durable product, as tested by military and law enforcement operators across five continents, over hundreds of thousands of combined launch and retrieval cycles.
Standard Features
Our fanatical approach to trailer construction results in a smoother hauling, longer lasting trailer with innovative features that eliminate many of the nuisance weak points of conventional trailers. Here are some of the key features found on every Evolution Trailer:
Axles: Evolution uses USA manufactured galvanized steel torsion axles for a smooth ride. Integrated submersible E-Z-Lube spindle lubrication system is easy to fill and allows grease to easily flow to both the inner and outer bearings for continuous lubrication.
Brakes: Each Evolution Trailer features DEEMAXX vented disc brake components on every axle for maximum stopping power, every time. Our brake components are specially coated to assure long-lasting corrosion resistance.
Brake System, HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic: Securely mounted inside the frame rail and concealed from UV exposure and weather for long life. System assures maximum stopping power while our installation gives a cleaner and more finished appearance.
Bunks and Stanchions: Pressure-treated marine grade lumber covered with marine-grade UV-resistant carpet and thru-bolted with 316 stainless steel hardware to fully-welded 2" stanchions. Bunks custom designed for ideal hull support and easy launch & recovery.
Construction, Military-Spec Welded Aluminum: Precision-welded extruded aluminum frame with welded double-gusseted cross members to assure structural stablity. Reinforced with beefy plates of welded aluminum for additional strength.
Fenders and Fender Steps: Custom .125-gague aluminum fenders treated with Shark Hide for protection from the elements. Fully-finished front and rear fender bracket steps are welded to the frame and covered with Gator Step non-slip marine decking.
Hardware: Evolution uses only premium marine-grade 316L stainless steel hardware for maximum strength and corrosion resistance. Tef-Gel PTFE-based fastener lubricant is used on every threaded fastener to protect against galvanic corrosion.
Hubs: Airtight pressurized hub protectors prevent water from intruding into the bearing chamber. Visual diaphragm design allows the integrity of the seal to be confirmed at a glance, allowing air pressure to be easily monitored and maintained.
Lighting: Custom welded tail light boxes with submersible, high-visibility, flush-mounted LED tail lights are highly durable and protect the lights from damage. Reverse lights are standard on every trailer.ss
Pad-Eye Tie-Down System: Evolution-exclusive, derived from our military trailers. Heavy-duty forward and rear welded aluminum tie-down points allow tie-down straps to be quickly and securely attached.
Ramp Wedges: Heavy-duty Ramp Wedges are welded to the frame forward of the axle to eliinate hangups and facilitate safe retrieval of the trailer if it drops off the edge of the ramp.-
Tires & Wheels: Premium Raceline aluminum wheels mounted with Goodyear tires are standard for our 16" wheel trailers.
Winch Stand / Bow Stop: Heavy-duty welded custom winch stand, designed to accommodate each specific boat and powdercoated for durability and long-lasting good looks. Will work with integrated anchors. Includes Y-style bow stop with soft yet durable rubber D-blocks.
Wiring / Brake Lines: Evolution uses an industry leading, shielded marine grade wiring for all trailers. Wiring and the stainless steel brake lines are secure to the frame every 18" using stainless steel cushion clamps. Clamps are isolated with nylon washers to reduce electrolysis.
